Slim Down Cabbage Soup

This soup tends to be high in Vitamin A & C and is a great way to slim down for summer or any occasion! This recipe is made using our Gold Standard Seasoning,  and our popular Freeze Dried Whole Peas and Sweet White Corn. If you love veggies this is for you! Made with all natural vegan ingredients. We recommend shopping at your local Farmers Markets to get the freshest veggies possible! Especially this time of year. Not to mention it helps support your local growers! If you are looking for a serious slim down, eat this soup for lunch and dinner for 5-7 days with a healthy breakfast and nutritional snacks! 

RECIPE: Cabbage Vegetable Soup

Makes 4 (1 cup) servings, and takes about an hour to make. Double the recipe and have enough for the week!

INGREDIENTS:

A. 3 Tbsp water

B. 1/2 cup carrots

C. 1/2 cup diced onions

D. 1/4 cup celery

E. 4 cloves of fresh garlic

F. 1/2 tsp dry Basil

G. 1/2 tsp dry Oregano

H. 1/4 Tsp Thyme

I. Pinch of red chili pepper flakes ...

J. 3.5 Cups of Water

K. 1.5 Tbs Plant Pantry Gold Standard Seasoning https://plant-pantry.com/collections/...

L. 2 Tbsp of Tomato Paste (I like Muir Glen https://www.muirglen.com/products/tom...)

M. 1.5 cups of fresh green cabbage

N. 1/2 cup of fresh green beans ...

O. 1/4 cup Plant Pantry Freeze Dried Green Peas https://plant-pantry.com/collections/...

P. 1/4 cup Plant Pantry Freeze Dried Corn https://plant-pantry.com/collections/...

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Add above ingredients A-E to a 4.5 quart stock pot and saute on low heat until onions become translucent. Add dry herbs (F-I) and saute a few minutes.

2. Add water and Plant Pantry Gold Standard Seasoning (J & K) - mix well. Add Tomato Paste (L) - mix well. Add Green Cabbage & Green Beans (M & N), stir, cover with lid, and simmer (don't boil) about 30 minutes, add dried vegetables (O & P), and simmer for another 20 to 30 minutes (or until peas and corn are tender. If using fresh herbs, add them at the end.

3. Salt to taste and serve with your favorite crackers or bread.
